Muktinath, situated in the Mustang region, is a revered temple holding religious significance for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Many visitors believe that bathing in Muktinath can absolve their lifetime of sins. The temple, also known as Chumig Gyatsa, is nestled at an altitude of 3,710 meters at Thorong-La mountain pass amidst snow-capped mountains in Nepal’s Mustang district—a highlight along the famous Annapurna Circuit trek.

For those seeking a convenient trip to this holy site, the Muktinath Helicopter tour from Pokhara offers a popular option with just a 45-minute flight each way. This swift aerial journey is ideal for elderly or time-constrained individuals looking to embark on a religious pilgrimage to pay homage to Lord Vishnu at Muktinath.

Review

Our helicopter trip to Muktinath from Kathmandu, organized by Sherpa Village Trek, was truly incredible. When we first arrived in Kathmandu, it was raining and we were concerned about our heli ride to Muktinath. Fortunately, thanks to the blessings of Muktinath, the weather cleared up in the morning and our trip went smoothly without any disruptions. I highly recommend their team without hesitation.

I initially contacted Sherpa Village Trek to arrange a trip to Muktinath. They responded promptly with a detailed itinerary, including inclusions and exclusions. The tour lasted for 5 days. Upon our arrival, the operations manager met us and escorted us to the hotel, where he provided a comprehensive overview of the tour. He was accommodating of small adjustments and swiftly made necessary arrangements. Our helicopter tour to Muktinath was exceptional; everything was coordinated professionally, on time, and with great attention to detail. This value-for-money experience in Nepal is one we will never forget.

Sherpa Village Trek provided a great opportunity to fulfill my long-time dream of visiting one of the 108 Divyadeshams. Our helicopter tour to Muktinath began from Pokhara airport, offering breathtaking views of mountains, jungles, and villages along the way. Upon landing, we had the chance to explore the temple and its surroundings before taking a bath and worshipping Lord Shiva. I highly recommend this mountain flight experience as it is truly worth it.
