The Langtang Helicopter tour is a short ride to explore the Himalayas and touch the snow from Kathmandu. It takes about half an hour to reach Kyanjin Gompa from Kathmandu airport, offering close-up views of mountains over the Langtang National Park, as well as highland villages, dramatic landscapes, and lofty peaks in a very short period.

This scenic aerial flight is one of the most popular ways to explore the Himalayas near Kathmandu after Everest and Annapurna regions. The tour starts at Kathmandu airport flying north towards the Langtang range where you get to enjoy splendid mountain scenery right in front of you.

The flight lands at Kyanjin Gompa (3,950m), allowing 20-30 minutes for breakfast and exploration due to altitude concerns. This exotic heli tour lasts for 1.5 hours with striking views of great peaks like Ganesh Himal(7,407m), Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Dorje Lapka (6,975m), and Gosaikunda lakes are among its major highlights.

Langtang Heli Tour is best for those who want to see the Himalayas up close while enjoying tea or lunch on snowy grounds. The cost compares favorably against other helicopter trips in Nepal.

Review

This helicopter tour to Langtang National Park was absolutely magical! Seeing the Langtang Lirung massif up close was a dream come true. The pilot pointed out glaciers, hidden valleys, and traditional villages nestled amidst the mountains. This is a must-do for any nature lover or photographer seeking a unique perspective on the Langtang region.

Our family took the Langtang helicopter tour, and it was a fantastic way to experience the Himalayas with young children. It was much quicker and easier than a trek, and they were mesmerized by the snow-capped peaks. A great option for families with limited time or those who want to avoid strenuous hiking.

The Langtang helicopter tour offered stunning views of the Himalayas. Soaring above the valleys and glaciers was an unforgettable experience. Overall, a great way to see the Langtang region quickly.
