Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival In Kathmandu
Welcome to the beautiful country of Nepal in the Himalayas. When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Sherpa Village Trek will greet you and help transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu, and you will be briefed about your trip.

Day 02

Kathmandu Sightseeing
After breakfast today, you'll begin a guided tour of some of the most significant historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. These landmarks are all designated as World Heritage Sites, including the sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the renowned 'Monkey Temple' Swayambunath, the Buddhist shrine Bouddhanath (one of the largest Stupas in the world), and the medieval city Patan.

Day 03

Bhaktapur Durbar Sightseeing and Trip Preparation
Today, you'll have the opportunity to discover the historic city of Bhaktapur and make preparations for your trip. Usually, obtaining an Urgent Tibet visa takes around two and a half days. For a top urgent visa, it can be processed within one day but at a slightly higher cost.

Day 04

Ride to Shyabrubesi (1,140m)
After an early morning meal at the hotel, start your motorcycle and ride 40 kilometers to Prithibi. Then, turn left towards the Kerung border. It will be a lengthy journey through the isolated regions of Langtang National Park until Rasuwagadi via Nuwakot and Dhunche. You'll spend the night in Shyabrubesi.

Day 05

Ride to Kerung (2,750m) and Rest
After having breakfast at the guesthouse today, you will travel 18 kilometers to reach the border of Nepal and Tibet. Once you complete the required border procedures, you will then journey 24 kilometers to Kerung. Upon arrival, take the rest of the day to discover Kerung's local town and prioritize acclimatization for the following day with no further driving.

Day 06

Ride to Tingri (4,300m)
Today, following your morning meal, you'll journey uphill to the highest plateau in the world. You'll be greeted by the unique Tibetan landscape and the awe-inspiring sensation of being at the top of the world. If weather allows, you'll witness a stunning panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges, including Mt Cho Oyu (8,201m) & Mt Xishapagma (8,012m), though they may appear small compared to the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can take in magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8,848m).

Day 07

Ride to Ronbuk (4,980m), Visit Everest Base Camp, and Ride to Xegar
Today after breakfast, you will travel to Ronbuk through the stunning Tibetan landscape. You'll have the opportunity to visit Ronbuk Monastery, which is the highest monastery in the world, and take in breathtaking views of Mount Everest.
Due to restrictions imposed by the Chinese government, vehicles are not allowed within 4 km of Ronbuk. To get there, you can take an electric bus that runs every 30 minutes. Please note that visitors without climbing permits are currently not permitted at Everest base camp; however, you can still enjoy similar impressive views from a point located 1.5 km before the base camp.
After spending time at Everest Base Camp during your day excursion, you will drive to Xegar for an overnight stay. If preferred, it's also possible to arrange accommodation at Ronbuk for a unique experience; just be aware that on the following day, a longer drive (90 KM more) would be required to reach Shigatse if this option is chosen.

Day 08

Ride to Shigatse (3,900m)
Today is another gorgeous day. You will traverse passes reaching over 5,200 meters, where snow is often seen. Following a scenic drive, you will reach Shigatse (3,900m), the second-largest city in Tibet. The major draw in Shigatse is the Tashilhunpo Monastery, one of the biggest active monasteries in Tibet. Spend your evening exploring the local town of Shigatse.
